Show Review: Commodore Ballroom, Vancouver, B.C.

Happy Memorial Day everyone. We’ve just returned from tour, and in sharp contrast with our rainy days across the Pacific Northwest, I spent the day relaxing by the pool and bbq’ing in Pasadena. It was much needed. I think we’re all pretty tired. The last three weeks have been simply amazing. We traveled to so many great cities, drove magnificent highways, played with great bands, and met so many kind and generous people. Thank you to everyone who lent us their floor, couch and shower. I truly do not know what we would’ve done with you. I think the one thing most commonly overlooked when it comes to touring are the connections you make, both as a band and with people you meet while on the road. And the last three weeks have really opened my eyes to this fact. Big thank you’s should also go out to Yellow Red Sparks, Black Mercies, Glaciers, Welikeitindie, and Scott Weiland. The tour would’ve not been possible without you guys.
One of the standout shows for us was the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC. It was our first time to Canada, and it was a sold out house (thank you, Mr. Weiland). The crowd was incredibly gracious and seemed to have an open ear. It was really an honor. We love you, Canada. We can’t wait to make it back.
